Before your session
We will discuss your family, preferred setting and the kind of photographs you would like to create. You will also receive clear guidance on timing, clothing and helping children feel prepared.
During your session
The session is relaxed and gently directed, with room for natural interaction as well as more considered portraits. Children are not expected to sit still or perform, and the pace can be adjusted when needed.
After your session
Your photographs are carefully selected and edited before being delivered through a private online gallery. Additional photographs, albums and artwork can also be ordered after your session.

Every collection includes thoughtful preparation, calm guidance throughout the session and a carefully curated gallery of the strongest finished images.

Albums and artwork
Digital files are easy to share, while albums and printed artwork give your photographs a lasting place in your home. Fine-art albums, matted prints, framed artwork and loose prints can be ordered through your private gallery after the session.

What happens after you enquire
1 — Check availability
Send through your preferred date or timing, location ideas and a few details about your family. We will confirm availability and any initial considerations.
2 — Talk through your plans
We will discuss the style, location and timing of your session, along with which collection best suits your family.
3 — Secure your session
Your session is confirmed once the agreement is signed and the $150 booking retainer is paid.
4 — Plan the details
Before your session, we will confirm the timing, location, wardrobe guidance and any practical details so everything feels calm and well prepared.

Family photography FAQs

Family sessions can take place outdoors or in your home. Essential and Narrative include one session location. Signature includes up to two nearby locations, or multiple setups within one location.

Essential is designed for immediate families of up to six people. Narrative includes immediate family and one extended-family grouping. Signature can include immediate or extended family, with up to 10 people in total. Larger-family upgrades are available where needed.

You do not need to dress formally unless that feels right for your family. Simple, comfortable clothing in soft or natural tones usually photographs well. Wardrobe guidance is provided before the session so everyone feels prepared without appearing overly styled.

That is completely normal. Sessions are approached calmly and flexibly, with time for children to settle, move, play and take short breaks when needed. The aim is to photograph genuine family connection rather than expect everything to feel perfect.

For outdoor sessions, we will monitor the forecast and discuss the most practical option if conditions look unsuitable. This may involve adjusting the timing, changing location or rescheduling.
If illness or unsafe conditions make the session unsuitable, we can also arrange another date. Family sessions work best when everyone is well and the conditions are safe and comfortable.

Essential includes 30 final edited images, Narrative includes 45, and Signature includes 65 or more. Essential and Narrative can be extended with additional images or upgraded to the complete edited gallery after delivery.

Your final family gallery will be delivered within three weeks of the session. Narrative includes preview images within five business days, while Signature includes previews within three business days.

A $150 booking retainer confirms your session. The remaining balance is due seven days before the session. Flexible payment arrangements may be available on request.

Yes. Additional edited images, complete gallery upgrades, albums and framed wall artwork can be ordered after your gallery is delivered, allowing you to decide once you have seen the finished photographs.

Yes, family pets are welcome where practical. This will depend on the location, access, safety and how comfortable your pet is likely to be during the session.
