Before your session
We will discuss your family, preferred setting and the kind of photographs you would like to create. You will also receive clear guidance on timing, clothing and helping children feel prepared.
During your session
The session is relaxed and gently directed, with room for natural interaction as well as more considered portraits. Children are not expected to sit still or perform, and the pace can be adjusted when needed.
After your session
Your photographs are carefully selected and edited before being delivered through a private online gallery. Albums, prints and framed artwork can also be ordered through your private gallery after the session.

Travel
Local travel is included throughout Greater Wollongong and the Illawarra. Travel beyond this area may incur additional costs for travel time, mileage, tolls, parking or accommodation, which will be confirmed before booking.

3 — Secure your session
Your session is confirmed once the agreement is signed and the $150 booking retainer is paid. The remaining balance is due seven days before your session.
4 — Plan the details
Before your session, we will confirm the timing, location, wardrobe guidance and any practical details so everything feels calm and well prepared.

Essential is well suited to one immediate family wanting a relaxed, straightforward session. Narrative allows more time for grandparents, broader family groupings or additional variety, while Signature is designed for larger, extended or multi-generational families requiring more detailed planning and coverage. I’ll help you choose the most suitable collection based on who will be included, the location and the photographs you would like.

Family sessions take place at a location chosen to suit your family, the time of day and the style of photographs you prefer. Most sessions use several settings within one location, providing variety without unnecessary travel.
The Signature Collection may also include a second nearby location when it suits the session and can be accommodated within the available time. This will be discussed and confirmed during planning.

Essential is designed for one immediate family of up to six people. Narrative includes one immediate family and up to two grandparents, with a maximum of eight people in total. Signature is designed for extended and multi-generational families of up to ten people, including multiple households and a wider range of groupings.
Larger or more complex family groups can be quoted according to the planning and coverage required.

Yes, family pets are welcome where practical. This will depend on the location, access, safety and how comfortable your pet is likely to be during the session.

You do not need to dress formally unless that feels right for your family. Simple, comfortable clothing in soft or natural tones usually photographs well. Wardrobe guidance is provided before the session so everyone feels prepared without appearing overly styled.

That is completely normal. Sessions are approached calmly and with flexibility, allowing time for children to settle, move, play and take short breaks when needed. The aim is to photograph genuine family connection rather than expect everything to feel perfect.

The number of final images varies according to the session length, the people involved and how the session unfolds, so a fixed count is not published.
You will receive a complete, photographer-curated gallery of the strongest professionally edited photographs. Every image meeting Water Cloud Images’ delivery standard is included, with near-duplicates and technical rejects removed.
Nothing is held back for separate purchase, and no image-selection stage is required after delivery.

No. RAW and unedited files are not supplied. Your final gallery includes the strongest photographs from the session, carefully selected and professionally edited for consistent colour, quality and finish.

Yes. Fine-art albums, framed artwork, matted prints and loose prints can be ordered through your private gallery after the session, allowing you to choose the options that best suit your photographs and home.

One reschedule may be arranged with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Sudden illness affecting a child or immediate family member, unsafe weather and other genuine emergencies will also be considered. Unless otherwise agreed, the rescheduled session must take place within six months of the original date.
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the session will receive a full refund, including the booking retainer. For cancellations made between 14 days and 48 hours before the session, the retainer will be retained and any remaining amount paid will be refunded.
Cancellations within 48 hours, or failure to attend, will be handled in accordance with the photography agreement and may incur charges reflecting preparation already completed, expenses incurred and the session time reserved.
