This fixed-format session provides time for family portraits, natural interaction and movement within one carefully prepared garden setting. The shorter format keeps the experience comfortable and focused, particularly for families with young children.
I’ll provide gentle guidance when helpful, without forced poses or expecting everyone to look at the camera. The result is a cohesive collection of photographs that feels natural to your family.

Simple from booking to delivery
1. Choose your time
Select an available morning session and complete the $225 payment to confirm your booking.
2. Prepare with clear guidance
You’ll receive a preparation guide covering clothing, arrival details and what to expect, along with a short questionnaire about your family. This helps the session remain organised, relaxed and focused on the people involved.
3. Select your photographs
Within two weeks of your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery to choose and download your 10 included, professionally edited digital photographs. You can purchase additional photographs for $35 each or upgrade to receive all remaining edited photographs for $150. Both prices include GST.

Before you book
On the day
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your booked session time. This allows enough time to park, walk to the meeting point and begin promptly. The meeting point will be provided in your booking confirmation.
Sessions are scheduled closely together, so late arrivals cannot be given additional time. If you arrive 15 minutes or more after your booked start time, your session may be treated as a missed booking. If I am delayed, your full 20-minute session will still be provided.
Pets are not permitted in Wollongong Botanic Garden. Accredited assistance dogs accompanying visitors with a disability are permitted.
Weather and changes
Light cloud and overcast conditions are suitable for photography. If the forecast indicates unsuitable or unsafe weather, I’ll contact you by email and text by 5 pm on the day before your session to confirm whether it will proceed or be postponed. Conditions can change overnight, so I may need to provide a further update on the morning of your session.
With at least seven days’ notice, your booking may be moved once to another available 2026 Spring Family Session time, subject to availability and the booking terms.

Please let me know as soon as you can. With at least seven days’ notice, your booking may be moved once to another available 2026 Spring Family Session time at no additional charge. With less than seven days’ notice, bookings are normally not transferable, although genuine exceptional circumstances will be considered individually.

Choose comfortable clothing that feels natural for your family, ideally in coordinating rather than matching colours. Avoid large logos and very bright or distracting patterns. After booking, you’ll receive a preparation guide with more detailed clothing advice.

The session is for one family group of up to six people, including children and babies. A grandparent or other relative can be included within that six. If you would like to bring several family groups or more than six people, get in touch before booking and I’ll recommend a family session with enough time for everyone.

Unfortunately not - Wollongong Botanic Garden doesn’t permit dogs or other pets. Accredited assistance dogs accompanying a visitor with a disability are permitted.
